Our Houses

Two Houses.  One Community.

Since its inception as a seven bedroom house on Spruce Street, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House has grown tremendously.  Founded in 1974 as the very first House that love built, ours is the model for all other Ronald McDonald Houses in the world.

With the opening of our new House in January of 2008, we now offer facilities in two locations in Philadelphia: our House at Chestnut Street and our new House at Front and Erie Streets.  As a result of our new addition, we are able to accommodate a total of 59 families and continue to expand our available services.

Each House offers a number of amenities to ensure our guests are as comfortable as possible.  Most importantly, we offer a safe, welcoming environment where families can have the support of other families in similar circumstances - a true home away from home.
