Welcome to The First House That Love Built

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.  Rhabdomyosarcoma.

These are terms that some of us may never hear.  Yet, to many families, these are the words that can forever change their lives.

In the midst of coping with their child's diagnosis and treatment for a critical illness, families must still continue to deal with the everyday realities of life:

  • Where can we stay while my child is in the hospital?
  • How can we keep the family together?
  • How will we ever afford it?

This is where the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House comes in.  We provide families with a safe, comfortable home environment while their children receive treatment at local Philadelphia hospitals.  From a spacious guest room to a home-cooked meal, from children's play areas to hospital transportation, we are there to make sure all of our families' basic needs are met, so that they can focus on the most important issue:

Their child's recovery.

We invite you to learn more about the services we offer, or to see how you can get more involved in the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.
