ADULT VISITOR GUIDELINES

The health, safety, and peace of mind of our families, volunteers, staff, and visitors are of utmost importance to us. To maintain a safe environment, we ask anyone 18 years of age or older to show a valid photo ID. We will use the ID information that you provide to check a variety of sources, including public registries that identify individuals who may pose a risk to children. RMHC of the Philadelphia Region reserves the right to use this information to restrict access to our facilities.

The following are acceptable forms of valid ID at our Ronald McDonald Houses:

  • State-issued driver’s license
  • State-issued ID
  • Current passport
  • Valid Government-issued photo ID
  • Valid Active Military photo ID
  • University/College photo ID

If you do not have a photo ID, we will be happy to take your photo and provide you with a badge to be used during your visit at the House.

All visitors of families staying at the Ronald McDonald House are permitted inside between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. All visitors must present a photo ID and wear the approved Ronald McDonald House ID badge at all times while in the House. These ID badges expire at 8:30 p.m. every evening. If a guest family is expecting visitors, we ask that they inform the staff in the reception office. A family member must meet their guest visitors at the reception office when they arrive, and accompany them throughout their visit. Visitors are only permitted in the Ronald McDonald House common areas. Guests are not permitted on any guest room floors unless special permission has been given by either the social worker or the House Manager.

PLEASE NOTE:

All visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian at all times.

During the year we may need to implement restrictions to limit the spread of common contagious illnesses. The conditions for these restrictions are normally determined by our partner hospitals. Whenever these restrictions are in place, we limit the number of adult visitors to the Ronald McDonald House. Children may not visit unless they are a sibling of the patient.

Due to the nature of the children who are staying with us, we cannot admit visitors showing signs of a communicable disease. Please refrain from coming to the Ronald McDonald House if you are experiencing signs of illness (e.g. runny nose, coughing, sneezing, rash, sore throat, etc.) or if you or another adult or child visitor has been exposed to the chicken pox, pink eye, or any other common communicable disease.
