Bilingual Family Services Coordinator

Position Summary: The primary function of the Family Services Coordinator is to be the liaison between the House Operations and Social Work teams to best support families during their stay. This position is responsible for ensuring that our staff and the programs we provide are meeting the needs of our families and are consistent with the intent of our mission. A flexible work schedule is necessary with day, evening and weekend hours required.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as a liaison between House Operations and Family Services to best support families during their stay
  • Facilitate the room request and intake process for families
  • Provide support to families staying at the House:
  • Listen to families and offer ongoing support as needed
  • Provide a supportive and culturally competent environment to the diverse families, children, staff, and volunteers at PRMH
  • Oversee that families are abiding by House rules and policies to ensure the safety of everyone in the House
  • Participate in weekly Operations meetings
  • Assess family needs
  • Complete check in process for all families including new and/or non-English speaking families
  • Ensure each family’s comfort with the House, staff and interpreter services.
  • Assist families with participating in fun events for patients and siblings
  • Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide supervision and training as needed
  • Coordinate hotel partnerships
  • Coordinate with hospital social workers to best serve families’ needs
  • Ensure data integrity
  • Generate reports in a timely manner
  • Additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization


  • BSW, BA Social Services or related degree
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in a medical setting or providing social services to families in crisis.
